  • Information El consentimiento libre, previo e informado (CLPI) es un principio de derechos humanos que garantiza a los pueblos indígenas el derecho a dar o negar su consentimiento para cualquier acción que afecte sus tierras, territorios o derechos. Garantiza que las comunidades indígenas no se vean obligadas a aceptar proyectos que puedan perjudicar su bienestar, su cultura o su medio ambiente. Este principio está reconocido en la Declaración de las Naciones Unidas sobre los derechos de los pueblos indígenas.

  • Information Le consentement libre, préalable et éclairé est un principe des droits de l’homme qui garantit aux peuples autochtones le droit de donner ou de refuser leur consentement à toute action qui affecterait leurs terres, territoires ou droits. Il garantit que les communautés autochtones ne sont pas contraintes d’accepter des projets qui pourraient nuire à leur bien-être, à leur culture ou à leur environnement. Ce principe est reconnu dans la Déclaration des Nations Unies sur les droits des peuples autochtones.

  • Information The principle and right of ‘free, prior and informed consent’ demands that states and organizations of all kinds and at all levels obtain Indigenous Peoples’ authorization before designing, adopting and implementing projects, programmes or legislative and administrative measures that may affect them. It emphasizes that Indigenous Peoples are allow to give or withhold their consent and that they must be included in consultative processes, that the time requirements for these processes be respected and that information on the likely impact of activities be disclosed in advance.
