DÉFINITION

  • El término “arte de pesca abandonado” significa arte de pesca sobre el cual el operador/propietario tiene control y que podría ser recuperado por el propietario/operador, pero que se deja deliberadamente en el mar debido a fuerza mayor u otras razones imprevistas. El término “arte de pesca perdido” significa arte de pesca sobre el cual el propietario/operador ha perdido accidentalmente el control y que no puede ser localizado ni recuperado por el propietario/operador. El término “arte de pesca descartado” significa arte de pesca que se libera en el mar sin ningún intento de mayor control o recuperación por parte del propietario/operador.

  • The term “abandoned fishing gear” means fishing gear over which that operator/owner has control and that could be retrieved by owner/operator, but is deliberately left at sea due to force majeure or other unforeseen reasons. The term “lost fishing gear” means fishing gear over which the owner/operator has accidentally lost control and that cannot be located and/or retrieved by owner/operator. The term “discarded fishing gear” means fishing gear that is released at sea without any attempt for further control or recovery by the owner/operator.
