  • Information Infectious Haematopoietic Necrosis (IHN) is a highly contagious viral disease that primarily affects salmonid fish, such as salmon and trout. It is caused by the Infectious Haematopoietic Necrosis Virus (IHNV), which belongs to the Rhabdoviridae family. IHN is characterized by symptoms such as darkening of the skin, bulging eyes (exophthalmia), abdominal swelling (ascites), and small hemorrhages on the fins and body.
