lacustrine sedimentation

Definición

  • Information Sedimentation accumulated in lakes or of lake origin are lacustrine. They may be detrital or organic material as well as clays and silts. These sediments abound in formerly glaciated areas of the lakes eventually drained, leaving the bottom sediments to form plains. Lacustrine deposits are often found in plateau or mountain basins.
