  • Information Biogeochemical cycle, in which inorganic nutrients move through soil, living organisms, air and water. In agriculture, it refers to the return of nutrients absorbed by plants from the soil, back to the soil. Nutrient cycling can take place through leaf fall, root exudation (secretion), residue recycling, and incorporation of green manure.
