The pea aphid, Acyrthosiphon pisum, is a globally distributed and economically important aphid pest of leguminous crops including peas, broad beans, and alfalfa. In addition to causing direct feeding damage, this species vectors more than 30 plant viruses including pea enation mosaic virus and bean leafroll virus.
