A measure of the amount of substance present in a unit amount of mixture or solution. The amounts can be expressed as moles, grams, or volumes. (NALT https://lod.nal.usda.gov/nalt/24618)
Red and purple-fleshed potatoes are rich in phenolic compounds, particularly in anthocyanins. Anthocyanins are suitable to be used as natural colouring compounds due to their bright attractive red and purple colours and water solubility that allows for their easy incorporation into aqueous food systems. (L. Sampaio, Shirley & Lonchamp, Julien & Inês, Maria & Liddle, Catriona & Petropoulos, Spyridon & Glamoclija, Jasmina & Alexopoulos, Alexios & Santos Buelga, Celestino & Ferreira, Isabel & Barros, Lillian. Ropeless fishing involves the elimination of buoy ropes during fishing of pots, set gillnets and set longlines, with the retention of buoy lines on or near the seafloor, except during setting and hauling. (Adapted from FAO. 2021. Removing vertical lines from the water column is probably one of the most effective ways to ensure that large whales do not become entangled in them.
Long, tapering, flexible rod usually in sections jointed together used along with fishing line for angling. (FAO. 1978. Glossary of inland fishery terms, EIFAC Occasional Paper No. 12. http://www.fao.org/3/ae987b/AE987B01.htm)
Pulpy kidney disease is a unique manifestation of Clostridium perfringens type D enterotoxemia in small ruminants, especially sheep. Clostridium perfringens epsilon toxin binds to renal tubular epithelial cells and causes selective degeneration of distal tubules. The disease is precipitated by access to excessive starch in the small intestine, which allows for anaerobic bacterial proliferation therein. (Breshears, M. A., & Confer, A. W. 2017. The Urinary System. Pathologic Basis of Veterinary Disease, 617–681.e1. https://doi.org/10.1016/B978-0-323-35775-3.00011-4)
The nail and screw holding capacity are ten of importance in the furniture and building construction industries. The screw is one of the most commonly used mechanical fasteners that provide a strong connection to hold members together. The design and structure stability of a product is dependent on the screw withdrawal resistance (SWR). (Farajollah Pour, Mohammad & Hatefnia, Hamid & Dorieh, Ali & Kiamahalleh, Mohammad & Afrouzi, Younes. (2022). Research on Medium density fiberboard (MDF) behavior against screw axial withdrawal: Impact of density and operational variables.
