Mustard seeds are the small round seeds of various mustard plants. They are an important spice in many regional foods and may come from one of three different plants: black mustard (Brassica nigra), brown Indian mustard (B. juncea), or white mustard (B. hirta/Sinapis alba). Infectious epididymitis (ovine epididymitis) is caused by infection with Brucella (B.) ovis. The agent causes clinical or subclinical disease of the genital organs of sheep, which can lead to reduced fertility of rams, sporadic abortions of ewes, and increased perinatal mortality of lambs. In rams, epididymitis causes unilateral or, less frequently, bilateral epididymal swelling. So far, the disease has only been observed in sheep and deer. National Reference Laboratory for Ovine Epididymitis. https://www.fli.de/en/institutes/institute-of-bacterial-infections-and-zoonoses-ibiz/reference-laboratories/nrl-for-ovin-epididymitis/)
Chia is the edible seed of Salvia hispanica, a flowering plant in the mint family (Lamiaceae) native to Central America, or of the related Salvia columbariae of the southwestern United States and Mexico. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chia_seed)
Nitrogen use efficiency is defined as the ratio of the crop nitrogen uptake, to the total input of nitrogen fertilizer. It can also be defined more broadly as the ratio, of crop nitrogen uptake, to available soil N which would include applied fertilizer N plus residual mineral N in the soil. The greater the ratio the better the nitrogen use efficiency. (USDA, 2007. Nitrogen Efficiency and Management. Nutrient Management Technical Note No. 3 https://directives.sc.egov.usda.gov/OpenNonWebContent.aspx?content=18563.wba )
Resonant wave interaction is a nonlinear process in which energy is transferred between different natural modes of a system by resonance. (Teodorescu, Petre & Chiroiu, Veturia & Munteanu, Ligia & Dumitriu, Dan. (2010). On the Resonance Wave Interaction Phenomenon.)
Virus-like particles (VLPs) are virus-derived structures made up of one or more different molecules with the ability to self-assemble, mimicking the form and size of a virus particle but lacking the genetic material so they are not capable of infecting the host cell. (Nooraei, S., Bahrulolum, H., Hoseini, Z.S. et al. Virus-like particles: preparation, immunogenicity and their roles as nanovaccines and drug nanocarriers. Imperforate anus is a congenital defect in which the opening of the anus is absent or misplaced, usually fistulizing anteriorly to the perineum or GU tract. (Frederick M. Karrer, Denis D. Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) is caused by a morbillivirus closely related to rinderpest virus, and affects goats, sheep, and some wild relatives of domesticated small ruminants, as well as camels. It is characterised by severe morbidity and mortality rates. (https://www.woah.org/en/disease/peste-des-petits-ruminants/)
A natural watercourse that is dry and ceases to flow during some portion of the year. (FAO AGLW glossary / glossaire / glosario)
Note
Intermittent (or temporary) streams and rivers cease to flow every year or at least twice every five years. The extent of temporary rivers is increasing, as many formerly perennial rivers are becoming temporary because of increasing water demand, particularly for irrigation
Southern corn leaf blight is caused by the fungus Bipolaris maydis. Stalk and leaf infections initially appear as purple spots that develop tan-gray centers. Ear infections result in a gray-black lesion on the husk that extends into the kernels, appearing as a black felt-like mold. Seedlings from infected kernels are often blighted. Denudation involves the processes that cause the wearing away of the Earth's surface by moving water, by ice, by wind and by waves, leading to a reduction in elevation and in relief of landforms and of landscapes. Denudation incorporates the mechanical, biological and chemical processes of erosion, weathering and mass wasting. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denudation)
Note
Combined effect of erosional processes and transportation of eroded material
