Inflorescence vegetables are the inflorescences of plants, including flowers, flower buds, and their associated stems and leaves, eaten as vegetables. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Inflorescence_vegetables)
Germination is the process by which an organism grows from a seed or spore. The term is applied to the sprouting of a seedling from a seed of an angiosperm or gymnosperm, the growth of a sporeling from a spore, such as the spores of fungi, ferns, bacteria, and the growth of the pollen tube from the pollen grain of a seed plant. (Wikipedia, 2024. Germination. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germination)
Virescence is the abnormal development of green pigmentation in plant parts that are not normally green, like shoots or flowers (in which case it is known as floral virescence). (Masters, M.T. (1869). Vegetable Teratology, an Account of the Principal Deviations from the Usual Construction of Plants. Robert Hardwicke. p. 240–281.)
Infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus (IHNV) is the causative agent for infectious hematopoietic necrosis in salmonid fishes such as salmon and trout, which represent some of the most important species in aquaculture. It is an enveloped, negative-sense single-stranded RNA virus which belongs to the family of Rhabdoviridae, under the genus Novirhabdovirus with a distinct shape of bullet-like structure. (Yong CY, Ong HK, Tang HC, Yeap SK, Omar AR, Ho KL, Tan WS. Infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus: advances in diagnosis and vaccine development. PeerJ. 2019 Jul 16;7:e7151. doi: 10.7717/peerj.7151. PMID: 31341728; PMCID: PMC6640626.)

Germination inhibitors are substances found in plants that can delay seeds germinating. (Chenyin, Peng, Wu Yu, Shi Fenghou, and Shen Yongbao. 2023. "Review of the Current Research Progress of Seed Germination Inhibitors" Horticulturae 9, no. 4: 462. https://doi.org/10.3390/horticulturae9040462)
A highly acidic mucopolysaccharide formed of equal parts of sulfated D-glucosamine and D-glucuronic acid with sulfaminic bridges. The molecular weight ranges from six to twenty thousand. Heparin occurs in and is obtained from liver, lung, mast cells, etc., of vertebrates. Its function is unknown, but it is used to prevent blood clotting in vivo and vitro, in the form of many different salts. (MeSH. 2024. Heparin. https://meshb-prev.nlm.nih.gov/record/ui?ui=D006493)
The genetic material that forms the physical basis of heredity and that is transmitted from one generation to the next by germ cells. (FAO. 2014. Genebank Standards for Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture. Rev. ed. Rome. https://www.fao.org/3/a-i3704e.pdf)
Note
The hereditary material transmitted to offspring through the germ cells. Germplasm can refer to the genetic material of any organism, including plants, animals, fungi, and microorganisms.
