A palavra “trust” (fideicomisso) significa a custódia e administração de bens, interesses ou valores de terceiros. Trata-se de qualquer tipo de negócio jurídico que consista na entrega de um bem ou um valor a uma pessoa (fiduciário) para que seja administrado em favor do depositante ou de outra pessoa por ele indicada (beneficiário).

It is any type of legal transaction consisting of the delivery of an asset or value to a person (trustee) to be administered in favour of the depositor or another person indicated by him/her (beneficiary).
