Fire hazard Is worked out from their relative amount, type and condition, particularly their moisture content.

Un terme général utilisé pour exprimer une évaluation des facteurs à la fois fixes et variables de l’environnement du feu qui déterminent la facilité d’allumage, le taux de propagation, la difficulté du contrôle, et l’impact du feu; souvent exprimé comme un index. (1) Un complexe de combustible, défini par volume, type, condition, arrangement et lieu, qui détermine le degré aussi bien de la facilité d’allumage que de la difficulté d’extinction du feu ; (2) Une mesure de la composante du risque d’incendie liée aux combustibles disponibles au feu. Grandeur élaborée à partir des quantités relatives des combustibles, de leur type et condition, particulièrement leur teneur en humidité.
