Desnigue: consiste en quitar la parte mas vieja de la cebolla del disco basal del tallo, con lo que se elimina parte de la raíz y el tallo. Al causar esta herida, la planta reacciona emitiendo raíces rápidamente, favoreciendo su crecimiento y creando defensas que disminuyen el ataque de la enfermedad.

Onion pruning consists of removing the oldest part of the onion from the basal disc of the stem, which eliminates part of the root and stem. By causing this wound, the plant reacts by emitting roots quickly, favoring its growth and creating defenses that reduce the attack of disease.
