DEFINITION

The name ‘‘sweet sorghum’’ is used to identify those varieties of sorghum, Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench, which has juicy and sweet stalks. Sweet sorghum is mainly cultivated for syrup production or forage, whereas other sorghum varieties such as kafirs and milos are cultivated for grain.
