DEFINITION

  • Çiftlik hayvanlarının yiyecekleriyle almak zorunda olduğu, hayvansal organizmada hem serbest alkol hem de yüksek yağ asitlerinin esterleri olarak bulunan, yeşil bitkiler, sarı mısır ve onun yan ürünleri ile havuç ve tatlı patateste zengin olan, yetersizliğinde gece körlüğü ve ilerlemiş durumda kseroftalmi, büyümede durma, kemik gelişiminde düzensizlikler ve canlı ağırlık kaybına neden olan, memeliler ve deniz balıklarında vitamin A1, tatlısu balıklarında ise vitamin A2 formunda bulunan, ısıya dayanıklı, oksidasyona yatkın, yağda çözünen bir vitamin.
