Abergelle goat breed is a medium sized, mostly reddish brown in colour, both male and females are horned, found in the semi-arid agro-pastoral areas of northern Amhara and southern Tigray regions in Ethiopia. The breed is mainly kept for milk and meat known to have multipurpose role includes provide milk, meat and source of cash income for the family and socio-cultural benefits.
