  • Information Las pequeñas y medianas empresas (PYMEs) son empresas independientes no subsidiarias cuyo número de empleados e ingresos está por debajo de ciertos límites. Los principales factores que determinan si una empresa es una PYME son el número de empleados y los ingresos netos por ventas anuales o el balance financiero total. El más común es el número de empleados. Las PYMEs se clasifican a su vez en microempresas (menos de 10 empleados), pequeñas empresas (10 a 49 empleados) y medianas empresas (50 a 249). El número de empleados varía según los países y se especifica en la legislación nacional.

  • Information Les petites et moyennes entreprises (PME) sont des sociétés indépendantes, non filiales, dont le nombre d’employés et le chiffre d’affaires sont inférieurs à certaines limites. Les principaux facteurs qui déterminent si une entreprise est une PME sont le nombre d’employés et le chiffre d’affaires net annuel ou le solde financier total. Le plus courant est le nombre d'employés. Les PME sont en outre classées en microentreprises (moins de 10 employés), petites entreprises (10 à 49 employés) et moyennes entreprises (50 à 249 employés). Le nombre d’employés varie d’un pays à l’autre et est précisé dans la législation nationale.

  • Information Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are non-subsidiary, independent firms whose personnel and revenue numbers fall below certain limits. The main factors determining whether an enterprise is an SME are the number of employees and annual net sales revenue or financial balance sheet total. The most common is the number of employees. SMEs are further subdivided into micro enterprises (fewer than 10 employees), small enterprises (10 to 49 employees), and medium enterprises (50 to 249). The number of employees varies across countries and is specified in the national legislation.
