DEFINITION

  • La maladie de Pullorum des poulets est une infection bactérienne causée par Salmonella enterica sous-espèce enterica serovar Gallinarum biovar Pullorum (Salmonella pullorum). Dans sa forme aiguë, la maladie de Pullorum est presque exclusivement une maladie septicémique des jeunes poulets. Cependant, l’organisme peut également être associé à la maladie chez les dindonneaux et peut être transmis de manière subclinique ou entraîner une réduction de la production d’œufs et de la capacité d’éclosion, ainsi qu’une série de signes atypiques chez les oiseaux plus âgés.

  • La pulorosis de los pollos es una infección bacteriana causada por Salmonella enterica subespecie enterica serovariedad Gallinarum biotipo Pullorum (Salmonella pullorum). En su forma aguda, la pulorosis es una enfermedad septicémica casi exclusiva de los polluelos. Sin embargo, el organismo también puede estar asociado a enfermedad en pavipollos y puede ser transmitido de forma subclínica o provocar una reducción de la producción de huevos y de la incubación, además de una serie de signos atípicos en las aves de más edad.

  • Pullorum disease of chickens is a bacterial infection caused by Salmonella enterica subspecies enterica serovar Gallinarum biovar Pullorum (Salmonella pullorum). In its acute form, Pullorum disease is almost exclusively a septicaemic disease of young chickens. However, the organism may also be associated with disease in turkey poults and may be carried subclinically or lead to reduced egg production and hatchability, plus a range of atypical signs in older birds.
