La transition agroécologique désigne un changement de modèle agricole pour mettre en œuvre les principes de l’agroécologie et répondre ainsi aux crises que traverse ce secteur. Elle repose, en particulier, sur la création et mobilisation de savoirs issus de l’agroécologie, l’engagement des acteurs (agriculteurs, conseillers agricoles…) dans la construction de ces savoirs pour une adaptation aux territoires et la territorialisation de l’agriculture impliquant notamment une reconnexion de la production agricole avec l’alimentation locale.

The agroecological transition is a change of the agricultural model in order to implement the principles of agroecology and therefore respond to the sector’s crises. It is based, in particular, on the creation and mobilization of knowledge from agroecology, the involvement of actors (farmers, agricultural advisers …) in the construction of this knowledge to tailor it to different territories, and the territorialisation of agriculture, involving in particular a reconnection of agricultural production with food localism.
