Milk production refers to the process by which domesticated dairy animals produce milk for human consumption or processing into dairy products. This involves the breeding, raising, and management of these animals to optimize the quantity and quality of milk they produce. World milk production is almost entirely derived from cattle, buffaloes, goats, sheep and camels. Other less common milk animals are yaks, horses, reindeers and donkeys.
